# Does iMessage work with Stippl eSIM?

Yes — iMessage works with your Stippl eSIM as long as you configure it correctly. Because Stippl eSIMs are data-only, you need to ensure iMessage is using your Apple ID (email), not your phone number.

**To set up iMessage with a Stippl eSIM:**
1. Open **Settings** > **Messages**
2. Toggle **iMessage** OFF
3. Wait 5 seconds, then toggle **iMessage** ON again
4. Tap **Send & Receive**
5. Uncheck your phone number (if listed)
6. Make sure your Apple ID email address is selected

This ensures iMessage works via your data-only connection.

**Switching back to your regular SIM?** If you're done with your Stippl eSIM and want to use your phone number for iMessage again:
* Go to **Settings** > **Messages** > **Send & Receive**
* Check your phone number to re-enable it for messaging
