# Getting started with Stippl

Stippl helps you plan a trip from first idea to the road, and keep it all in one place while you travel. Here's a quick overview of how it fits together.

###### Creating your trip
Start by creating a trip with your dates, countries, and destinations, setting how many nights you'll spend in each place.

###### Building your itinerary
In the planner, you add your destinations, the transport between them, and the places you want to visit, split into Sleep, See & Do, and Eat & Drink. From there, you can schedule everything onto your day-by-day view so each day has a clear plan.

###### Tracking your budget
Stippl also has a budget and expenses section, so you can track spending against your trip as you go.

###### Journaling while you travel
Once you're on the road, the travel journal lets you log entries with photos to look back on later.

###### Sharing your trip
You can share a read-only link with friends and family so they can follow along, or send an invite link to add co-travelers who can help plan and edit the trip with you.

###### Saving places for later
Outside of a specific trip, you can keep personal lists of saved places. Places you save to a list or collection can be added to a trip whenever you're ready. Stippl also has a packing list feature, including exporting and importing packing lists between trips.
