# How can I make a trip available offline?

Stippl caches your trip so you can keep using it without an internet connection, as long as you have opened it first while online.

###### Make a trip available offline
1. Open the trip while you have an internet connection.
2. Open the tabs you'll need offline too, such as **Itinerary**, **Budget**, or **Journal**.
3. Give the app a few moments to cache everything in the background before you lose your connection.

Once a trip has been fully opened this way, it stays available offline going forward.

###### App says you're offline when you have internet?
Sometimes the app's connection check gets blocked even though you are connected. This is usually caused by one of the following:
* A VPN
* A hotel or airport wifi portal you have not logged into yet
* A very slow or unstable connection

Turn off the VPN, complete the wifi login page, or switch networks, then reopen the app.
