# What to do if I see "Cellular Plans From This Carrier Cannot be Added"?

This error typically appears when your iPhone cannot accept the eSIM from the carrier network.

###### Common causes:
* Your device is carrier-locked to another provider
* You have reached the maximum number of stored eSIMs on your device
* A software issue on your device

###### What to do:

1. **Check if your iPhone is unlocked**
    * Go to **Settings** > **General** > **About** > scroll to **Carrier Lock**
    * It must say **No SIM restrictions** to install a Stippl eSIM
    * If your device is locked, contact your carrier to request an unlock

2. **Remove unused eSIMs**
    * iOS allows a limited number of stored eSIMs. Delete any old ones:
    * **Settings** > **Cellular** > tap an unused eSIM > **Remove Cellular Plan**
    * Then retry installation

3. **Update iOS**
    * Make sure you're running the latest version of iOS: **Settings** > **General** > **Software Update**

4. **Restart your device and retry**
    * Restart your iPhone, then attempt installation again from the Stippl app

|| If the error persists after unlocking and clearing old eSIMs, contact Stippl support with the email address linked to your Stippl account and we'll investigate.
