# Why is a place showing at the wrong location on the map?

Place addresses and coordinates come from external map providers, and every so often they're wrong or out of date. When that happens, a place can show up pinned in the wrong spot on your map.

###### How to fix it yourself
1. Remove the wrongly pinned place from your trip.
2. Add it again, choosing the manual option in the add screen.
3. Enter the place name, then use the address search to set the correct address. The pin will follow the address you choose.
