# Why isn't my PDF export arriving?

When you export your trip to PDF, we generate it in the background. You receive it in two ways: as a download in the app or browser as soon as it is ready, and as a copy emailed to the address on your Stippl account.

###### If nothing seems to happen

1. Give it a moment. Most exports finish within about two minutes, but long trips with many photos can take longer.
2. If the in-app download times out, no need to retry straight away: the export continues in the background, and the email still arrives when it is done.
3. Check your inbox and your spam folder for an email from Stippl.
4. Make sure the email address on your account is one you can access. If you signed up with Apple's Hide My Email, the PDF goes to that relay address, which forwards to your real inbox.
5. Try the export again from the web version at [stippl.io](https://www.stippl.io/), or from the app if you started on the web.

Email us at support@stippl.io with your trip name and roughly when you tried to export. We will check what happened and send you the PDF.
