How do documents work in Stippl?
Stippl lets you keep your booking confirmations, tickets, and other travel documents attached to your trip, so everyone on the trip can find them in one place.
Getting documents into Stippl
Documents get into Stippl by forwarding them by email to your trip's unique email address. You'll find this address in the trip menu under Documents.
There's no direct upload from your phone or computer today, forwarding by email is the only way to add a document.
Accepted files
You can forward PDF, PNG, or JPEG attachments. The forwarded email itself is also saved as a PDF document, so the original message is kept alongside any attachments.
Linking documents to places
You can link a document to an accommodation, an activity or restaurant, or a transport leg.
- From a place's detail screen, open Documents and select the file you want to attach.
- From the Documents list, you can also assign a document to a destination or a specific item.
Who can see your documents
Documents are visible to all trip members, not just the person who forwarded them.
Deleting documents
To delete a document, swipe it in the app or use the menu on web.
Documents can't be renamed. Their names come from the subject or filename of the forwarded email.
Documents offline
Information you've already opened while online is cached, but the document files themselves need a connection to open reliably. If you know you'll be off-grid, open any important documents while you still have a connection, or keep separate copies on your phone.
