How to check if your iOS device supports eSIM?

Not all devices support eSIM. Use the steps below to confirm compatibility and unlock status.

Which iPhones support eSIM?

Any iPhone from the XS/XR generation (2018) or newer supports eSIM, including every model released since.

iPhones purchased in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao may not support eSIM even if the model is from 2018 or later.

Stippl eSIMs are for iPhone only, iPads and Android devices are not supported.

When in doubt, check your device
  1. Open Settings > General > About.
  2. Tap Model Number until it switches to the AXXXX format.
  3. Scroll to Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, your iPhone is unlocked.

How to check if your iPhone is unlocked
